Meet Summer!

Summer has joyfully dedicated 17 years to educating students in Alachua County. She earned her master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Florida. Summer is certified in Elementary K-6, ESOL, and holds a K-12 Reading Endorsement. At the heart of her teaching philosophy is the conviction that every student has the potential to succeed. Summer is passionate about inspiring her students to believe in their own abilities. She has extensive experience with learning differences, accommodations, SLD, dyslexia, sensory sensitivities, and autism. Summer also enjoys volunteering with a local cat rescue and does agility work with her Corgi. She’s also obsessed with Pokemon Go!
